30 MINUTE ROLLS

Posted on November 1, 2025 by Admin

Yes! 🙌🥖 30-Minute Rolls are the holy grail of quick bread baking — soft, fluffy, buttery, and ready in half an hour (start to finish!). Perfect for busy weeknights, holidays, or when you want fresh bread right now.

Here’s the ultimate fast & easy recipe 👇

🕒 30-Minute Dinner Rolls

Ingredients (makes about 12 rolls)

  • 1 cup warm water (about 110°F / 43°C)

  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)

  • 2 tbsp active dry yeast

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 3 – 3½ cups all-purpose flour

(Optional for topping)

  • 2 tbsp melted butter, for brushing after baking

Instructions

1. Activate yeast

  • In a large bowl, combine warm water, oil, yeast, and sugar.

  • Let sit for 5–10 minutes, until foamy and bubbly.

2. Add remaining ingredients

  • Stir in the egg and salt.

  • Gradually mix in flour, one cup at a time, until a soft dough forms.

Dough should be soft but not sticky — add a little extra flour if needed.

3. Knead briefly

  • Knead by hand or with a dough hook for 3–4 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4. Shape the rolls

  • Divide dough into 12 equal pieces.

  • Shape into balls and place on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet (or in a 9×13-inch pan if you want pull-apart rolls).

5. Quick rise

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Let the rolls rest/rise for about 10 minutes while the oven heats up.

6. Bake

  • Bake 10–12 minutes, until golden brown on top.

7. Finish

  • Brush with melted butter right after baking for that soft, glossy finish.

💡 Tips

  • If you prefer slightly sweeter rolls (like Hawaiian style), add an extra tablespoon of sugar.

  • For garlic butter rolls, mix melted butter with garlic and parsley before brushing.

  • These freeze beautifully — just reheat for a few seconds in the microwave.

Soft, warm, buttery, and ready in 30 minutes flat. 🧈✨
