Posted on November 1, 2025 by Admin

Yum! 🌮🎉 7-Layer Taco Dip is the ultimate crowd-pleasing appetizer — creamy, cheesy, colorful, and packed with Tex-Mex flavor. It’s perfect for parties, game days, or anytime you want something fun and shareable.

Here’s the classic, easy recipe 👇

🌮 7-Layer Taco Dip

Ingredients (serves 8–10)

Layer 1 – Refried Beans

  • 1 can (16 oz) refried beans

  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning (or to taste)

Layer 2 – Sour Cream Mix

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened

  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning

Layer 3 – Guacamole

  • 2 ripe avocados

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Layer 4 – Salsa

  • 1 cup chunky salsa or pico de gallo (drained if watery)

Layer 5 – Cheese

  • 1 to 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese

Layer 6 – Lettuce

  • 1 cup shredded iceberg or romaine lettuce

Layer 7 – Toppings

  • 1–2 Roma tomatoes, diced

  • 2 green onions, sliced

  • ¼ cup sliced black olives (optional)

  • Fresh cilantro (optional)

🥣 Instructions

  1. Prep the base layers:

    • In a small bowl, mix refried beans with taco seasoning and spread evenly in a 9×13-inch dish or large serving bowl.

    • In another bowl, blend cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning until smooth; spread over beans.

  2. Add guacamole layer:

    • Mash avocados with lime juice, salt, and pepper. Spread carefully over the sour cream layer.

  3. Layer salsa:

    • Spoon salsa evenly over the guacamole.

  4. Top with cheese and veggies:

    • Sprinkle shredded cheese, then top with lettuce, tomatoes, green onions, and black olives.

  5. Chill:

    • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.

  6. Serve:

    • Serve with tortilla chips, pita chips, or veggie sticks.

💡 Tips & Variations

  • Make ahead: Prepare up to 6 hours ahead, cover tightly, and chill.

  • Add meat: Layer in seasoned ground beef or shredded chicken above the beans for a heartier version.

  • Spice it up: Add diced jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce on top.

  • Low-carb option: Serve with bell pepper slices, cucumber rounds, or pork rinds instead of chips.
