🍖 Garlic Parmesan Fried Lamb Chops

Ingredients (serves 2–3)

  • 6 lamb chops (about 1-inch thick)

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tbsp water or milk

  • 1 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 3 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil (for frying)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Prep the lamb chops: Pat the lamb chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and dried oregano.

  2. Set up dredging stations:

    • Place the flour in one shallow bowl.

    • In a second bowl, whisk eggs and water (or milk) together.

    • In a third bowl, combine Parmesan cheese and minced garlic.

  3. Dredge the chops:

    • Coat each chop in flour, shaking off excess.

    • Dip into the egg mixture.

    • Press both sides into the garlic Parmesan mixture, making sure it sticks well.

  4. Fry the chops:

    • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Add the chops and fry about 3–4 minutes per side (depending on thickness) until golden brown and cooked to your preferred doneness (medium-rare is about 145°F internal temp).

    • Adjust time for thicker chops or preferred doneness.

  5. Rest and serve:

    • Transfer chops to a plate and let rest for 5 minutes.

    • Garnish with chopped parsley if you like.


Tips

  • For extra crispiness, add a bit of breadcrumbs to the Parmesan mix.

  • Serve with garlic mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or a fresh salad.

  • You can finish the chops in the oven at 375°F for 5-7 minutes if you want to ensure doneness without over-frying.
