Serves: 6–8
Prep Time: 15 min
Total Time: 15 min (plus chilling, if desired)
🧂 Ingredients:
-
3 apples (a mix of red & green for flavor & color), diced
-
1 cup seedless grapes, halved
-
1 banana, sliced (optional)
-
1 cup diced pineapple (fresh or canned, drained)
-
½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
-
½ cup mini marshmallows (optional for sweetness & texture)
-
Juice of ½ lemon (to prevent browning)
Creamy Dressing:
-
½ cup vanilla yogurt (or Greek yogurt)
-
2 tbsp mayonnaise or sour cream (optional, for richness)
-
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
-
½ tsp cinnamon (optional)
🍳 Instructions:
1. Prep the Fruit:
-
Wash and dice apples (leave skin on for color/texture if you like).
-
Toss with lemon juice in a large bowl to prevent browning.
-
Add grapes, pineapple, banana (if using), nuts, and marshmallows.
2. Make the Dressing:
-
In a small bowl, whisk together yogurt, mayo/sour cream (if using), honey, and cinnamon.
3. Combine & Chill:
-
Pour dressing over fruit and toss gently to coat.
-
Chill for 30 minutes before serving if you have time — it helps the flavors meld.
🧊 Storage:
-
Best eaten the same day (especially if using bananas).
-
Keeps in fridge up to 2 days in an airtight container.
🔁 Variations:
-
Use flavored yogurt (like honey or cinnamon apple) for extra taste.
-
Add berries, mandarin oranges, or shredded coconut.
-
Omit nuts & marshmallows for a lighter version.
