Baked potatoes

Here’s a simple, classic method for perfect baked potatoes — fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside:


🥔 Ingredients:

  • 4 large russet potatoes (best for baking)

  • Olive oil

  • Kosher salt


🔪 Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven
    To 400°F (200°C).

  2. Prep the potatoes

    • Scrub them clean and pat dry.

    • Use a fork to poke each potato 4–6 times (prevents bursting in the oven).

    • Rub each one with olive oil and sprinkle generously with kosher salt.

  3. Bake

    • Place potatoes directly on the oven rack (or on a baking sheet if you prefer easier cleanup).

    • Bake for 45–60 minutes, depending on size. They’re done when the skin is crisp and a fork slides easily into the center.

  4. Serve

    • Slice open, fluff with a fork, and add your favorite toppings.


🍽️ Topping Ideas:

  • Classic: Butter, sour cream, chives, shredded cheddar, bacon bits

  • Healthy: Greek yogurt, steamed broccoli, salsa

  • Hearty meal: Chili, pulled pork, roasted veggies, baked beans
