🍌🍫 Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

¼ tsp salt

3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 cup)

¾ cup granulated sugar (or brown sugar for extra moisture)

1 large egg

⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted (or vegetable oil)

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1. Preheat Oven & Prep Pan

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners or grease well.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. Mix Wet Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine mashed bananas, sugar, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
4. Combine Wet & Dry

Add dry ingredients to wet and mix gently until just combined.

Fold in chocolate chips. Avoid overmixing to keep muffins tender.
5. Fill Muffin Cups

Divide batter evenly among muffin cups, filling about ¾ full.
6. Bake

Bake 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Let cool in pan 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
