Oh, that’s a fantastic weeknight meal — Beef and Bell Pepper Noodle Skillet! 🥩🌶️🍜 It’s quick, colorful, and full of bold, savory flavor — like a stir-fry meets a hearty pasta dish. Perfect in under 30 minutes.

Here’s a complete, flavorful recipe:

🍜 Beef and Bell Pepper Noodle Skillet

Ingredients

(Serves 4)

  • 8 oz noodles (spaghetti, ramen, or rice noodles)

  • 1 lb ground beef or thinly sliced steak (sirloin or flank)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or sesame oil

  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced

  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger (optional but adds great flavor)

Sauce:

  • ¼ cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)

  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce or hoisin sauce

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar or honey

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lime juice

  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)

  • Red pepper flakes or hot sauce (optional, to taste)

Instructions

1. Cook the noodles

  • Cook noodles according to package directions until al dente.

  • Drain and set aside; toss lightly with a drizzle of oil to prevent sticking.

2. Brown the beef

  1. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

  2. Add ground beef (or sliced steak) and cook until browned.

  3. Drain excess fat if needed. Remove from skillet and set aside.

3. Cook the vegetables

  1. In the same skillet, heat oil.

  2. Add onion, bell peppers, and ginger; sauté for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.

  3. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds more.

4. Combine everything

  1. Return beef to the skillet.

  2. Pour in sauce mixture and stir to coat.

  3. Add noodles, tossing well to combine.

  4. Cook 2–3 minutes more, until heated through and sauce thickens slightly.

5. Serve

  • Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, or chopped cilantro.

  • Serve hot straight from the skillet!

💡 Tips

  • Use ramen noodles for a more Asian-style dish or egg noodles for a comforting classic feel.

  • Add extra veggies like mushrooms, carrots, or snap peas for color and crunch.

  • A drizzle of toasted sesame oil at the end gives it a restaurant-quality finish.
