For the Wraps:
-
1 lb ground beef (80/20 or lean)
-
Salt & pepper, to taste
-
1/2 tsp onion powder (optional)
-
1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
-
4 large flour tortillas (burrito-size or wraps of choice)
-
1 cup shredded lettuce
-
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
1/4 cup diced onions
-
1/4 cup sliced pickles (or chopped)
-
Optional: diced tomatoes (not traditional, but tasty)
For the “Special Sauce” (Big Mac–Style):
-
1/2 cup mayonnaise
-
2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
-
1 tbsp mustard
-
1 tbsp ketchup (optional but tasty)
-
1/2 tsp paprika
-
1/2 tsp onion powder
-
1/4 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp white vinegar (optional for tang)
🔪 Instructions:
1. Make the sauce:
Mix all the sauce ingredients in a bowl. Chill in the fridge while you cook the beef — it gets better as it sits.
2. Cook the ground beef:
-
In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook beef until browned and cooked through (7–10 minutes).
-
Drain excess grease.
-
Season with salt, pepper, and optional onion/garlic powder.
3. Warm the tortillas:
-
Microwave for 15–20 seconds or heat briefly in a dry skillet to make them more pliable.
4. Assemble the wraps:
Layer in each tortilla:
-
A spoonful of sauce
-
Ground beef
-
Cheese
-
Lettuce
-
Onions
-
Pickles
-
Drizzle with more sauce on top
5. Wrap & Serve:
-
Fold in the sides and roll like a burrito, or fold like a flat wrap.
-
Optionally, grill seam-side down in a dry skillet for 1–2 minutes to crisp.
📝 Tips & Variations:
-
Low-carb? Use low-carb tortillas or lettuce wraps.
-
Meal prep? Store all components separately and build wraps when ready to eat.
-
Make it spicy: Add jalapeños or hot sauce to the sauce.
-
Double decker style: Add a second tortilla layer with cheese between and grill like a quesadilla.
