🧈💰 Billion Dollar Buttery Biscuits
Yields: 8 biscuits
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Bake Time: 20–25 minutes
Total Time: ~35 minutes
🧂 Ingredients:
-
2 cups all-purpose flour
-
1 tbsp baking powder
-
1 tbsp sugar
-
1 tsp salt
-
1½ cups buttermilk (cold)
-
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted (plus more for brushing)
🍳 Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven:
-
Preheat to 450°F (230°C).
-
Pour the melted butter into a 9-inch round baking dish or an 8×8 square pan.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
-
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
3. Add Buttermilk:
-
Pour in cold buttermilk and stir just until combined. The dough will be sticky — that’s okay!
4. Shape Biscuits:
-
Using a large spoon or ice cream scoop, drop 8 equal portions of dough directly into the pan on top of the melted butter.
-
The biscuits will touch — that’s what you want.
5. Bake:
-
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the edges crisp up from the butter.
6. Finish:
-
Brush with extra melted butter (optional) and serve warm.
🔁 Tips & Variations:
-
No buttermilk? Use 1½ cups milk + 1 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar (let sit 5 min).
-
Add-ins: Mix in shredded cheddar, garlic powder, or herbs for extra flavor.
-
Want crispier edges? Use a metal pan instead of glass or ceramic.
These are dangerously delicious and pair perfectly with soups, stews, breakfast, or just a smear of honey or jam. Want a gluten-free or cheesy garlic version? Just ask
