Cheesy chicken fritters are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and loaded with melty cheese and savory flavor. They make a great appetizer, lunch, or protein-packed snack!

Here’s a simple and delicious Cheesy Chicken Fritters recipe:


🧀🍗 Cheesy Chicken Fritters

🍽️ Makes: 10–12 fritters

⏱️ Time: 15 min prep + 15 min cook


🛒 Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ lbs (about 3 cups) raw chicken breast, finely chopped (or ground chicken)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella (or cheddar, or a mix)

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/4 cup almond flour or regular flour (for binding)

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or chives, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • Oil for frying (vegetable, olive, or avocado oil)


👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Mix the batter:

In a large bowl, combine chopped chicken, cheese, eggs, mayo, flour, herbs, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Stir until well mixed. The mixture will be sticky and loose—this is normal.

2. Heat oil:

In a large skillet, heat about 2–3 tbsp of oil over medium heat.

3. Cook the fritters:

Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the mixture per fritter and place into the skillet.
Flatten slightly with a spoon.
Cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Avoid overcrowding the pan—work in batches if needed.

4. Drain and serve:

Place cooked fritters on a paper towel-lined plate.
Serve warm with sour cream, ranch, or a spicy dipping sauce.


💡 Tips:

  • Don’t overcook, or they’ll dry out. Aim for juicy centers!

  • Great for meal prep — store in the fridge up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.

  • Try adding finely diced red bell pepper or green onions for color and crunch.
