Here’s a quick and irresistible recipe for Cheesy Garlic Toast 🧄🧀 — crispy on the edges, gooey in the middle, and packed with garlicky flavor.

🥖 Cheesy Garlic Toast

Serves: 4–6
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes

🧈 Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread, sliced in half lengthwise (or use thick slices of sandwich bread)

  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened

  • 3–4 garlic cloves, minced (or 1½ tsp garlic powder)

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

  • Salt, to taste

  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat

🔥 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven:

    • Set oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup.

  2. Prepare the garlic butter:

    • In a bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

  3. Assemble the toast:

    • Spread the garlic butter evenly over both halves (or slices) of bread.

    • Sprinkle generously with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

  4. Bake:

    • Place on the baking sheet and bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  5. Broil (optional):

    • For extra golden, crispy cheese, broil for 1–2 minutes — watch carefully so it doesn’t burn.

  6. Serve:

    • Sprinkle with chopped parsley (and red pepper flakes if desired). Slice and serve hot!

🧄 Tips & Variations

  • 🧀 Cheese mix: Try adding cheddar, provolone, or Monterey Jack for extra flavor.

  • 🌿 Herby version: Mix Italian seasoning or basil into the garlic butter.

  • 🍅 Pizza-style: Add a layer of marinara sauce under the cheese for quick “pizza toast.”

  • ❄️ Make ahead: Assemble, wrap in foil, and refrigerate. Bake when ready to serve.
