🧀 Cheesy Sausage Muffins

🛒 Ingredients:

1 lb breakfast sausage (pork, turkey, or spicy)

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tbsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)

1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

2 large eggs
-
1/3 cup milk
-
1/4 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt

2 tbsp melted butter or oil
👩🍳 Instructions:
1. Cook the sausage:

In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned and fully cooked.

Break into small crumbles and drain excess grease. Let cool slightly.
2. Prep the batter:

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin or line with paper liners.

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Stir in the shredded cheese and cooled sausage.
3. Mix wet ingredients:

In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sour cream, and melted butter.
4. Combine & fill:

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined — don’t overmix.

Spoon evenly into 12 muffin cups (they’ll be full).
5. Bake:

Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden on top and a toothpick comes out clean.
6. Cool & enjoy:

Let cool for 5 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack. Serve warm or room temp.
