Chipped Beef Cheese Ball

Posted on November 29, 2025 by Admin

Here’s a classic Chipped Beef Cheese Ball recipe — creamy, savory, and perfect for crackers, veggies, or toasted bread. It’s a crowd-pleasing appetizer that comes together in minutes!

🧀 Chipped Beef Cheese Ball (Classic Recipe)

Ingredients

  • 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened

  • 1 jar (2.5–3 oz) dried chipped beef, finely chopped

  • 1–2 tablespoons green onions, finely sliced

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

  • Optional: ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • Optional coating: additional chopped chipped beef, chopped parsley, or chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Prep the cream cheese
Let the cream cheese soften at room temperature so it mixes easily.

  2. Reserve some beef
Set aside a small handful of chopped chipped beef to coat the outside later (optional).

  3. Mix everything together
    In a bowl, combine:

    • softened cream cheese

    • chopped chipped beef

    • green onions

    • Worcestershire sauce

    • garlic powder

    • onion powder

    • pepper

Mix until everything is evenly blended.

  4. Shape into a ball
Use clean hands or a spatula to form the mixture into a round ball.

  5. Roll in coating (optional)
Roll the cheese ball in the reserved beef, parsley, or pecans to cover the outside.

  6. Chill
Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight).
This firms it up and enhances the flavor.
