🍌 Cream Cheese Banana Bread

🍌 Banana Bread Batter
- 3 ripe bananas (well mashed)
- ½ cup melted butter (or oil)
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
🧀 Cream Cheese Swirl
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
2️⃣ Make the Banana Batter
- In a bowl, mix mashed bananas and melted butter.
- Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix just until combined (don’t overmix).
3️⃣ Make Cream Cheese Layer
In a separate bowl, beat:
- Cream cheese
- Sugar
- Egg
- Vanilla
Until smooth and creamy.
4️⃣ Assemble
- Pour half the banana batter into the loaf pan.
- Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over it.
- Top with remaining banana batter.
- Use a knife to gently swirl.
5️⃣ Bake
Bake 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the banana portion comes out mostly clean.
If browning too quickly, loosely tent with foil.
Cool completely before slicing (important for clean layers!).
