Oh, creamy Cajun chicken pasta is pure comfort with a spicy kick — rich, flavorful, and downright satisfying. Here’s a recipe that hits all the right notes:


🍝 Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta

Serves: 4 | Prep Time: 15 mins | Cook Time: 20 mins


🛒 Ingredients:

  • 12 oz fettuccine or penne pasta

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced into strips

  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated

  • 1 cup bell peppers (red, yellow, or green), sliced

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley or green onions


👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Cook Pasta

  • Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. Season & Cook Chicken

  • Toss chicken strips with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Cook chicken until browned and cooked through, about 5–6 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

3. Sauté Veggies

  • In the same skillet, add butter.

  • Sauté onions, garlic, and bell peppers until softened, about 3–4 minutes.

4. Make Sauce

  • Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream.

  • Bring to a simmer and let it thicken slightly (about 3–5 minutes).

  • Stir in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

5. Combine

  • Return cooked chicken to the skillet.

  • Add drained pasta. Toss everything together, coating the pasta with the creamy Cajun sauce.

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

6. Serve

  • Garnish with parsley or green onions. Serve warm!


🍽️ Tips:

  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for extra heat.

  • Swap chicken for shrimp or sausage for variety.

  • Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter sauce.
