🛒 Ingredients:

For the Garlic Butter Chicken:

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into strips or chunks

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Optional: pinch of nutmeg

Pasta:

  • 12 oz linguine, cooked al dente and drained

  • Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water (for thinning sauce if needed)


👨‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Cook the pasta:

  • Boil linguine in salted water until al dente.

  • Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.

2. Cook the chicken:

  • Season chicken with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add chicken and sear until golden and cooked through (about 5–6 minutes per side).

  • Reduce heat, add butter and garlic, and sauté 1 more minute.

  • Remove chicken and set aside (cover to keep warm).

3. Make the Alfredo sauce:

  • In the same skillet, melt 3 tbsp butter over medium heat.

  • Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).

  • Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

  • Stir in Parmesan cheese and whisk until smooth and creamy.

  • Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg if using.

  • Add reserved pasta water as needed to thin the sauce.

4. Combine:

  • Add cooked linguine to the sauce and toss to coat.

  • Top with garlic butter chicken and spoon any remaining pan juices over the top.

5. Serve warm, garnished with extra Parmesan, parsley, or red pepper flakes if desired.

  • Swap chicken for shrimp or grilled salmon for a seafood twist.

  • Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.

  • Add steamed broccoli or spinach for color and veggies.
