Here’s a fresh, flavorful Creamy Shrimp Salad that’s perfect for sandwiches, lettuce wraps, or served chilled on its own.

🍤 Creamy Shrimp Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 lb cooked shrimp (peeled, deveined, chopped into bite-size pieces)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1–2 tbsp sour cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 celery stalk, finely diced
  • 2 tbsp red onion, finely minced
  • 1–2 tbsp fresh dill (or 1 tsp dried)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: pinch of paprika or Old Bay seasoning

Instructions

  1. Prep shrimp
If using large shrimp, chop into small pieces. Pat dry to avoid watery salad.
  2. Make dressing
In a bowl, mix mayo, sour cream, lemon juice, mustard, and seasonings.
  3. Combine
Fold in shrimp, celery, onion, and dill until evenly coated.
  4. Chill
Refrigerate at least 30–60 minutes before serving for best flavor.

🥗 Serving Ideas

  • On buttery croissants
  • In lettuce cups (low-carb option)
  • Over mixed greens with avocado
  • Stuffed into tomatoes
  • With crackers as an appetizer

💡 Lighter Version

Substitute half (or all) of the mayo with plain Greek yogurt.

If you’d like, I can also give you:

  • A Southern-style version
  • A Cajun spicy version
  • Or a pasta shrimp salad variation
