Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Crispy Air Fryer Potato Slices — golden on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfect as a snack, side dish, or base for toppings (like mini nachos or loaded potato bites).


🥔🔥 Crispy Air Fryer Potato Slices

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 2–3 medium russet or Yukon gold potatoes

  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)

  • 1/2 tsp paprika or smoked paprika (optional)

  • Black pepper, to taste

  • Optional: grated Parmesan, chopped herbs, or chili flakes for garnish


🔪 Instructions:

1. Prep the potatoes:

  • Wash and scrub potatoes well (you can peel them, but it’s optional).

  • Slice into 1/8–1/4 inch thick rounds — use a sharp knife or mandoline for even slices.

2. Soak (optional but highly recommended):

  • Soak slices in cold water for 15–30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  • Drain and pat completely dry with a clean towel — this step makes them crispier.

3. Season:

  • Toss slices in a bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any spices you’re using.

4. Air fry:

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

  • Arrange potato slices in a single layer (you may need to work in batches).

  • Air fry for 10–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.

  • Keep an eye on them toward the end — thinner slices cook faster and can brown quickly.

5. Serve hot:

  • Sprinkle with extra salt, Parmesan, or herbs if desired.

  • Great on their own or dipped in ketchup, ranch, or garlic aioli.


📝 Tips:

  • Use Yukon golds for creamier centers, or russets for maximum crisp.

  • If slices are too thick, they may end up soft — thinner = crispier.

  • Want ultra-thin chips? Slice 1/16 inch thick and reduce cook time slightly.
