🍗 Crispy Baked Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, separated into flats and drumettes

  • 1–2 tbsp baking powder (not baking soda) — helps crisp the skin

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • Optional seasonings: garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper

  • Optional: your favorite wing sauce (buffalo, barbecue, or honey garlic)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.

  2. Prepare wings:

    • Pat wings dry with paper towels.

    • In a large bowl, toss wings with baking powder, salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings until evenly coated.

  3. Arrange on rack:

    • Place wings on the wire rack in a single layer, skin side up. This allows air to circulate for extra crispiness.

  4. Bake:

    • Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until wings are golden brown and crispy.

  5. Optional: Toss in sauce:

    • If using a sauce, toss the baked wings in a warm sauce just before serving.

  6. Serve:

    • Serve immediately with celery sticks and your favorite dipping sauce (ranch or blue cheese).
