Here’s a comforting, no-fuss recipe for Crock Pot Cube Steak — tender, flavorful, and smothered in a rich gravy. It’s perfect for busy days when you want a hearty meal waiting for you at dinnertime.


🥩 Crock Pot Cube Steak with Gravy

Ingredients:

  • 4–6 cube steaks (about 1.5–2 lbs)

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup (or use 2 of one kind)

  • 1 packet onion soup mix (like Lipton)

  • 1/2 cup beef broth or water

  • 1 medium onion, sliced (optional, but recommended)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Optional: 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, or mushrooms for extra flavor


🧑‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Layer Ingredients in Crock Pot:

    • Place sliced onions (if using) at the bottom of the crock pot.

    • Layer cube steaks on top.

    • In a separate bowl, mix together both soups, soup mix, broth, and any optional add-ins (like Worcestershire or mushrooms).

    • Pour the mixture over the steaks, covering completely.

  2. Cook:

    • Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3.5–4.5 hours, until meat is fork-tender.

  3. Serve:

    • Stir the gravy and serve cube steak with mashed potatoes, rice, egg noodles, or over toast or biscuits.


🍽️ What to Serve With It:

  • Mashed potatoes or buttered noodles

  • Steamed green beans, corn, or peas

  • Cornbread or buttermilk biscuits


💡 Tips:

  • Cube steak will become fall-apart tender in the slow cooker — no need to brown it first.

  • Want a thicker gravy? Mix 1 tbsp cornstarch with 2 tbsp cold water, stir into the crock pot in the last 30 minutes.

  • You can add fresh sliced mushrooms or a splash of heavy cream near the end for extra richness.
