For frying:

1. Prepare the filling

  • Mix mashed potatoes, cooked meat/cheese, onion, egg, and seasonings in a bowl.
  • Shape into small cylinders or balls.

2. Coat the croquettes

  • Roll each croquette in flour → dip in beaten egg → coat with breadcrumbs.
  • Make sure each is fully covered for perfect crunch.

3. Fry or bake

  • Frying: Heat oil in a pan (medium-high). Fry until golden brown on all sides (~2–3 min each side). Drain on paper towels.
  • Baking (healthier): Preheat oven to 200°C / 400°F. Place on a greased baking sheet, spray lightly with oil, bake 15–20 min, turning halfway.
