Deep Hamburger Beef Sausage & Pepperoni Pie

Posted on October 19, 2025 by Admin
Now that sounds like a serious meat lover’s dream — a Deep Hamburger Beef Sausage & Pepperoni Pie is like a cross between a deep-dish pizza and a savory meat pie. Think hearty ground beef, Italian sausage, spicy pepperoni, gooey cheese, and zesty tomato sauce all baked into a golden crust. Let’s get into it.

🥧 Deep Hamburger Beef, Sausage & Pepperoni Pie

Serves: 6–8 | Prep Time: 25 mins | Bake Time: 30–40 mins

🛒 Ingredients:

For the Filling:

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • ½ lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy, casings removed)

  • ½ cup pepperoni slices, chopped or whole

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup pizza sauce or thick marinara

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet store-bought pie crust or homemade
    OR

  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
(You could also use a deep-dish pizza crust.)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven

  • Set oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a deep 9-inch pie dish or springform pan.

2. Cook the Meat

  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and sausage over medium heat until browned.

  • Drain excess fat.

  • Add diced onion and garlic; sauté until softened.

  • Stir in pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, and pepperoni. Simmer for 5 minutes.

3. Prepare the Crust

  • Line the greased dish with your chosen crust, pressing it up the sides.

  • If using crescent dough, pinch seams together to seal.

4. Layer the Filling

  • Spoon the meat mixture into the crust.

  • Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

5. Bake

  • Bake uncovered for 30–40 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and browned.

6. Cool & Serve

  • Let rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing — it’ll set up and slice cleaner.

  • Serve with a side salad, garlic bread, or more marinara on the side.

🔄 Variations:

  • Add veggies like sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers, or spinach.

  • Spice it up with crushed red pepper flakes or hot Italian sausage.

  • Use a cheddar/mozzarella mix for a richer flavor.

Want a low-carb version (crustless or with a cauliflower crust), or should I turn this into mini hand pies or muffins for party bites?
