diabetic Sugar-free! Breakfast Sausage Crescent Rolls

Posted on January 20, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a diabetic-friendly, sugar-free breakfast recipe for Sausage Crescent Rolls that’s tasty, quick, and low on sugar 🥐🌿

🥐 Sugar-Free Breakfast Sausage Crescent Rolls (Diabetic-Friendly)

Ingredients (makes 8–10 rolls)

  • 1 can sugar-free crescent roll dough (or low-carb dough)
  • 8 oz breakfast sausage (pork, turkey, or chicken, sugar-free)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat oven

  • Preheat to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease.

2️⃣ Prepare sausage filling

  • Remove sausage from casing (if needed).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
  • Drain excess fat.
  • Season with garlic powder and pepper.

3️⃣ Assemble rolls

  • Separate crescent dough into triangles.
  • Spoon sausage mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
  • Optional: sprinkle a little cheese on top.
  • Roll the dough from wide end to point, forming a crescent.
  • Place rolls on the baking sheet.

4️⃣ Bake

  • Bake 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let cool 2–3 minutes before serving.

✅ Tips

  • Use low-fat or turkey sausage for a lighter version.
  • Serve with sugar-free ketchup or hot sauce for extra flavor.
  • Great for meal prep—can be made ahead and reheated.

If you want, I can make a super low-carb, diabetic-friendly version using almond flour dough that’s keto-friendly but still soft and fluffy.

Do you want me to do that?
