Here’s a super easy apple pie recipe — no fancy techniques, no special tools, and it tastes amazing!


🍎 Easiest Apple Pie Recipe

Prep time: 15 min
Cook time: 45–50 min
Total: ~1 hour
Serves: 8


🧺 Ingredients

  • 1 box (2 crusts) refrigerated pie crusts (like Pillsbury)

  • 6 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work best)

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg (optional)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, keeps apples bright)

  • 1 tbsp butter, cut into small pieces

  • 1 egg (for brushing the crust)

  • 1 tbsp milk or water (for brushing)


🥧 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
    Place one crust in a 9-inch pie plate and press it gently into the bottom.

  2. Make the filling:

    • Peel, core, and slice apples thinly.

    • In a large bowl, toss apples with sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.

  3. Assemble the pie:

    • Pour apple mixture into the crust.

    • Dot with small pieces of butter.

    • Cover with the second crust, seal edges, and cut a few small slits on top for steam.

  4. Brush & bake:

    • Beat the egg with milk or water and brush over the top crust.

    • Bake 45–50 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.

    • (Tip: Cover edges with foil halfway through if they brown too fast.)

  5. Cool:
    Let pie cool at least 2 hours before cutting — it sets up as it cools.


🧁 Optional upgrades

  • Sprinkle sugar on top before baking for sparkle.

  • Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
