Fresh Fruit Salad

Posted on October 20, 2025 by Admin

A Fresh Fruit Salad is a simple, vibrant, and refreshing dish that works for breakfast, brunch, picnics, or a healthy dessert. You can keep it classic or add a citrus-honey dressing for extra brightness and flavor.

🍓 Fresh Fruit Salad

Serves: 6–8 | Prep Time: 15–20 mins | No cooking needed

🛒 Suggested Fruit (mix & match):

  • 2 cups strawberries, hulled and halved

  • 1 cup blueberries

  • 1 cup grapes (red or green), halved

  • 2 kiwis, peeled and sliced

  • 1 cup pineapple, cut into chunks

  • 1 large orange, peeled and cut into segments

  • 1 apple, chopped (toss with lemon juice to prevent browning)

  • 1 banana, sliced (add right before serving)

🍯 Optional Citrus-Honey Dressing:

  • 2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)

  • 1 tbsp fresh lime or lemon juice

  • ½ tsp lime or orange zest (optional)

  • Whisk together and drizzle over fruit just before serving.

🥣 Instructions:

  1. Wash and prep all fruit — cut into bite-sized pieces.

  2. Gently toss in a large bowl.

  3. If using the dressing, drizzle it over and toss again lightly.

  4. Chill for 15–30 minutes if you want it extra refreshing.

  5. Serve immediately or within a few hours for best texture and color.

🧊 Storage:

  • Best eaten fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

  • Avoid freezing — most fresh fruits lose texture when thawed.

✅ Tips & Variations:

  • Add mint leaves for a fresh herbal twist.

  • Use seasonal fruits like mango, pomegranate seeds, cherries, or melon.

  • For a tropical spin, add coconut flakes and a splash of lime juice.

  • Want protein? Add a scoop of Greek yogurt or sprinkle of nuts or granola on top when serving.

Want a make-ahead version for a party, or a fruit salad with whipped cream or pudding mix for a sweeter dessert-style option?
