Here’s a delicious and easy recipe for Garlic Butter Baked Scallops — perfect for a fancy dinner or a quick weeknight meal!

🧄 Garlic Butter Baked Scallops

⭐ Ingredients:

  • 1 lb sea scallops (cleaned, side muscle removed)

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)

  • 3–4 garlic cloves (minced)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs (Panko or regular)

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional but recommended)

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or 1 tsp dried)

  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)

  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

🔪 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.

  2. Pat the scallops dry with paper towels — this is key to getting a good texture and preventing excess water.

  3. Make the garlic butter:

    • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

  4. Arrange scallops in the baking dish in a single layer. Pour the garlic butter mixture over them evenly.

  5. Top with breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese (if using) for a crispy, golden topping.

  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until scallops are opaque and slightly firm. If you’d like a golden top, broil for an additional 1–2 minutes at the end — watch closely!

  7. Garnish and serve with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.

🥖 Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve over pasta, risotto, or a bed of sautéed spinach.

  • Pair with a crisp white wine like Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay.
