🦞🦪 Garlic Butter Lobster and Scallops

🍽️ Serves: 2

⏱️ Time: 10 min prep + 10 min cooking


🛒 Ingredients:

  • 2 lobster tails (or 1 lb lobster meat, chopped)

  • 12 large sea scallops, patted dry

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Juice of half a lemon

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes for heat


👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Prep lobster tails:

If using whole lobster tails, cut them lengthwise down the shell to expose the meat.

2. Sear scallops:

Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add scallops (seasoned with salt and pepper) and sear for about 2 minutes per side until golden brown and opaque inside. Remove and set aside.

3. Cook lobster:

In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic. Cook garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
Add lobster meat, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
Cook lobster for about 3-4 minutes, basting with garlic butter, until cooked through and opaque.

4. Finish and serve:

Return scallops to skillet, squeeze lemon juice over everything, sprinkle with parsley, and toss gently to coat.
Serve immediately with crusty bread, rice, or your favorite sides.


💡 Tips:

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan when searing scallops for a perfect crust.

  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor and avoid burning it.

  • Try adding a splash of white wine to the butter sauce for an extra layer of flavor.
