Sure! Here’s a classic and easy Ham and Cheese Sandwich recipe — simple, delicious, and great for a quick lunch or snack. You can keep it traditional or jazz it up with some extra ingredients.

🥪 Classic Ham and Cheese Sandwich

🛒 Ingredients (for 1 sandwich):

  • 2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, sourdough, or rye)

  • 2–3 slices of ham (deli or leftover baked ham)

  • 1–2 slices of cheese (Swiss, cheddar, provolone, or your favorite)

  • 1–2 tsp mayonnaise (optional)

  • 1–2 tsp mustard (Dijon or yellow — optional)

  • Butter (optional, for grilled version)

🔧 Instructions:

🥶 Cold Sandwich (Quick & Classic):

  1. Spread mayo and mustard on one or both slices of bread.

  2. Layer the ham and cheese.

  3. Add lettuce, tomato, or pickles if desired.

  4. Close sandwich and slice in half. Serve with chips or a pickle spear!

🔥 Grilled Ham and Cheese:

  1. Assemble sandwich as above (skip lettuce/tomato for grilled version).

  2. Butter the outside of both bread slices.

  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat.

  4. Grill sandwich on each side for 2–3 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.

  5. Slice and serve hot.

🧑‍🍳 Variations:

  • Croque Monsieur: Use béchamel sauce and bake or broil with extra cheese on top.

  • Add-ons: Tomato, arugula, caramelized onions, or fried egg.

  • Bread ideas: Ciabatta, brioche, or croissant for a gourmet twist.

Let me know if you want a low-carb, panini-style, or breakfast version!
