Hog Pogs Recipe
Ingredients

1 lb breakfast sausage (mild or hot)

2 cups Bisquick (or baking mix)

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 lb bacon, cut in half

Optional:

8 oz cream cheese (for extra moisture)

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a rack on top.

In a bowl, mix sausage, Bisquick, cheese (and cream cheese if using) until well combined.

Roll mixture into 1-inch balls.

Wrap each ball with ½ slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick if needed.

Place seam-side down on the rack.

Bake 35–45 minutes, until bacon is crispy and sausage is fully cooked.

Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
Tips for Best Hog Pogs

Use a rack so grease drips away → crispier bacon

Par-cook bacon slightly if you like it extra crispy

Don’t make balls too big or bacon won’t cook evenly
