Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 cup caramel candies (or homemade caramel)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (to melt the caramel)

Instructions

  1. Prep pecans
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    • Place 2–3 pecan halves together in small clusters for each candy.
  2. Melt the caramel
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt caramel with milk in 30-second intervals, stirring each time until smooth.
    • Spoon a small mound of caramel over each pecan cluster.
  3. Melt the chocolate
    • In another bowl, melt chocolate chips in the microwave (30-second intervals, stirring) or over a double boiler.
    • Drizzle or spoon chocolate over the caramel-covered pecans.
  4. Optional: Add sea salt
    • Sprinkle a tiny pinch of sea salt over each candy to balance the sweetness.
  5. Cool & set
    • Refrigerate for 30–60 minutes until the chocolate and caramel firm up.
    • Store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge.

  • Use soft caramels for easier melting.
  • If using homemade caramel, make sure it’s soft enough to drizzle.
