I have had this in my kitchen drawer for years—haven’t ever used it and not so sure where or why I have it. What is it?

I can definitely help you figure it out 😊 — but I’ll need either:

  • A photo, or
  • A detailed description (size, shape, material, sharp or dull, flexible or rigid, has holes/teeth/blade/handle, etc.)

Since it’s been sitting unused in a kitchen drawer for years, here are some very common mystery drawer items people don’t recognize:

🔎 Common “What Is This?” Kitchen Tools

  • Strawberry huller – small metal prongs with a handle
  • Citrus zester channel knife – tiny hooked blade on the end
  • Melon baller – small round scoop
  • Egg separator – little cup with slits
  • Jar opener grip – flat rubber disc
  • Apple corer – tube-shaped with serrated edge
  • Fish scaler – comb-like serrated edge
  • Pastry blender – curved metal wires with handle
  • Corn stripper – curved blade for removing kernels
  • Bottle stopper or wine aerator

If you describe:

  • Length (inches or compared to something)
  • Metal or plastic?
  • Any sharp edges?
  • Does it bend?
  • Does it have teeth, holes, or a scoop?

I can narrow it down very quickly.
