Nice! A large bowl of fresh salsa is always a hit—bright, zesty, and perfect for chips, tacos, or topping grilled meats.

Here’s a classic, easy-to-make fresh tomato salsa recipe that’s vibrant and full of flavor:

🍅 Fresh Tomato Salsa (Pico de Gallo)

Makes: About 4 cups | Prep Time: 15 mins

🛒 Ingredients:

  • 6–7 ripe Roma tomatoes, diced

  • 1 medium white onion, finely chopped

  • 1–2 jalapeño peppers, seeded and minced (adjust for heat)

  • 1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)

  • ½ tsp black pepper

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine diced tomatoes, onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and garlic.

  2. Squeeze in lime juice, then season with salt and pepper.

  3. Stir everything together gently.

  4. Let it sit for 15–30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Tips:

  • For a smoother salsa, pulse ingredients in a food processor for a few seconds instead of dicing.

  • Add diced avocado for a creamy twist.

  • Swap jalapeños for serranos if you want it hotter, or use mild peppers for less heat.
