Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat to 325°F (160°C).
  • Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan or 9×5-inch loaf pan.

2. Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Set aside.

3. Cream Butter and Sugar

  1. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy (~3–4 minutes).
  2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
  3. Mix in vanilla extract.

4. Combine Wet and Dry

  1. Add dry ingredients in three parts, alternating with milk in two parts.
  2. Mix until just combined — do not overmix.

5. Bake

  • Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake 75–85 minutes (Bundt) or 60–70 minutes (loaf) until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cake cool 15 minutes in pan, then remove to a wire rack.

6. Optional Glaze

  1. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Drizzle over cooled cake for extra sweetness and shine.
