Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp oil (vegetable or olive)

Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Dough

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add warm water and oil.
  3. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead 5 minutes until smooth.

2️⃣ Let It Rise

  • Cover and let rise 30–45 minutes, until doubled in size.

3️⃣ Shape

  • Punch down dough.
  • Shape into a round loaf or divide into smaller balls.

4️⃣ Cook on the Stovetop

  1. Heat a heavy non-stick or cast-iron pan over low heat.
  2. Lightly oil the pan.
  3. Place dough in pan and cover with a lid.
  4. Cook 7–8 minutes per side, flipping once, until golden and cooked through.

5️⃣ Cool & Serve

  • Cool slightly before slicing.
  • Brush with butter for extra softness.
