Posted on October 20, 2025 by Admin
Oatmeal and apples are a classic cozy combo, perfect for breakfast or a wholesome snack! Here’s a simple and delicious recipe that brings them together with warm spices and a touch of sweetness.

🍎🍂 Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal

Ingredients (serves 2):

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • 2 cups water or milk (dairy or plant-based)

  • 1 large apple, peeled and diced (or leave skin on for more fiber)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional toppings: chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans), raisins, a dollop of yogurt, or a splash of cream

Instructions:

  1. Cook the apples

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add diced apples, a splash of water, and cinnamon. Cook for 3–5 minutes until apples soften slightly.

  1. Add oats and liquid

  • Stir in the oats, water or milk, and a pinch of salt.

  1. Simmer

  • Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 5–7 minutes until the oats are tender and creamy.

  1. Sweeten

  • Stir in maple syrup or honey.

  1. Serve

  • Spoon into bowls and top with your favorite add-ons like nuts, raisins, or yogurt.

Variations:

  • Baked oatmeal with apples: Combine oats, diced apples, milk, eggs, and spices, then bake for a warm, hands-off breakfast.

  • Add texture: Toss in some chia seeds or flaxseeds before cooking.

  • Make it savory: Skip the sweeteners and add sautéed apples with onions and herbs for a twist!
