🍕 Open-Faced Pizza Burgers

🧂 Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
-
½ cup onion, finely chopped
-
1 cup pizza sauce (or marinara)

1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
-
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for extra flavor)

1 tsp Italian seasoning
-
Salt & pepper, to taste

6–8 hamburger buns or English muffins, split in half

Optional toppings: pepperoni slices, chopped bell peppers, black olives, mushrooms, red pepper flakes
👨🍳 Instructions
1. Brown the beef

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until meat is browned and onion is soft.

Drain excess grease.
2. Add sauce & seasoning

Stir in pizza sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 3–5 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.
3. Prep the buns

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Place bun halves (cut side up) on a baking sheet. Toast them for 3–4 minutes if you want a crisper base.
4. Assemble pizza burgers

Spoon meat mixture onto each bun half.

Top with shredded cheese (mozzarella + cheddar combo is awesome).

Add any extra toppings you like.
5. Bake

Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
