Orange Creamsicle Salad

Posted on October 14, 2025February 1, 2026 by Admin

You’ve just asked for one of the most nostalgic and crowd-pleasing retro desserts out there! 🍊🍦
Orange Creamsicle Salad (aka Orange Fluff or Dreamsicle Salad) is a creamy, fruity, cool dessert that tastes like the frozen treat — but in scoopable form.

Perfect for potlucks, holidays, or any time you want something sweet and light.

🍊 Orange Creamsicle Salad

🕒 Prep Time: 10 minutes

🧊 Chill Time: 1–2 hours

🍽️ Serves: 8–10

🧁 Ingredients

  • 1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 1 cup cold milk

  • 1 container (8 oz) Cool Whip (or whipped topping)

  • 1 can (15 oz) mandarin oranges, drained

  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained

  • 1 package (3 oz) orange Jell-O

  • 1 ½ cups mini marshmallows

Optional: ½ cup sour cream or vanilla yogurt for extra creaminess

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Mix pudding and milk
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until smooth and slightly thickened.

  2. Stir in Jell-O powder
Sprinkle in the dry orange Jell-O powder and mix until fully combined. It’ll give that classic orange creamsicle color and flavor.

  3. Fold in Cool Whip
Gently fold in the Cool Whip (and sour cream or yogurt if using) until smooth and creamy.

  4. Add fruit & marshmallows
Stir in drained mandarin oranges, pineapple, and mini marshmallows.

  5. Chill
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or up to 24 hours). It thickens and flavors meld as it chills.

  6. Serve cold
Spoon into bowls or cups. Optional: top with more oranges or a dollop of whipped cream.

🧊 Storage

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3–4 days

  • Not freezer-friendly — dairy and fruit don’t hold up well when frozen

🍽️ Tips & Variations

  • Add ½ cup shredded coconut or chopped pecans for texture

  • Swap pineapple for fruit cocktail

  • Use sugar-free pudding and Jell-O for a lighter version

  • For extra zing, add a little orange zest or a splash of orange juice concentrate

Would you like a version using fresh whipped cream, or a layered trifle-style variation for fancier presentation?
