Here’s a simple, classic Peanut Pecan Candy recipe—sweet, crunchy, and easy to make at home 🍬🥜


🥜 Peanut Pecan Candy (Southern-Style)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup roasted peanuts (salted or unsalted)

  • 1 cup chopped pecans

  • 2 cups granulated sugar

  • ½ cup milk or evaporated milk

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt (optional)


Instructions

  1. Prepare nuts:
    Lightly toast peanuts and pecans in a dry pan for 2–3 minutes. Set aside.

  2. Cook the candy base:
    In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and milk. Stir until sugar dissolves.
    Bring to a gentle boil and cook, stirring often, until thick and creamy (about 10–15 minutes).

  3. Finish the candy:
    Remove from heat. Stir in butter, vanilla, salt, and the nuts.

  4. Drop and cool:
    Spoon small mounds onto parchment or wax paper.
    Let cool completely until firm.


Tips

  • For softer candy: cook slightly less time.

  • For firmer, fudge-like candy: cook a little longer until it pulls away from the pan.

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
