Pecan caramel baklava cups

Here’s a delicious, easy recipe for Pecan Caramel Baklava Cups — all the buttery, nutty, caramel goodness of baklava, but in simple bite-sized cups using phyllo shells. Perfect for parties, holidays, or a quick impressive dessert!


🧁 Pecan Caramel Baklava Cups

⭐ Ingredients

  • 1 package mini phyllo shells (usually 15 per box)

  • 1 cup chopped pecans

  • 3 tbsp melted butter

  • 3 tbsp brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional toppings:

    • Caramel sauce

    • Crushed pecans

    • Sea salt flakes


🍯 Simple Syrup (Optional but traditional)

  • ¼ cup honey

  • 2 tbsp water

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • ¼ tsp lemon juice

Simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Preheat

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).


2. Make the Filling

In a bowl, combine:

  • chopped pecans

  • melted butter

  • brown sugar

  • honey

  • cinnamon

  • vanilla

  • pinch of salt

Mix until everything is coated and sticky.


3. Fill the Phyllo Cups

  • Place phyllo shells on a baking sheet.

  • Spoon the pecan mixture evenly into each cup.


4. Bake

Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the nuts are toasted and the cups are golden.


5. Add Syrup (Optional but amazing)

  • While warm, drizzle 1 teaspoon of the warm honey syrup over each cup.
    This makes them taste exactly like baklava.


6. Finish with Caramel (Optional)

  • Drizzle warm caramel sauce on top.

  • Add a sprinkle of crushed pecans or sea salt if you like.


💡 Tips

  • For extra richness, add a few chopped walnuts to the pecan mix.

  • They keep well at room temperature for 2–3 days.

  • Serve them warm for the best gooey caramel texture.
