  • 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)

  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)

  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

  1. Prepare the pork chops:

    • Pat pork chops dry and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

  2. Sear the pork chops:

    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Add pork chops and cook 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp 145°F).

    • Remove chops from skillet and set aside, tented with foil to keep warm.

  3. Make the crunchy honey garlic sauce:

    • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium.

    • Add butter and thinly sliced garlic. Cook gently until garlic turns golden and crispy (about 2-3 minutes). Be careful not to burn it!

    • Remove garlic slices with a slotted spoon and set aside on a paper towel to drain (this is your crunchy garlic topping).

    • Stir honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper flakes into the skillet, scraping up any browned bits.

    • Let the sauce simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.

    • Toast the panko breadcrumbs in a dry pan over medium heat until golden and crispy (2-3 minutes).

  4. Assemble:

    • Pour the honey garlic sauce over the pork chops.

    • Sprinkle with the crispy garlic slices and toasted panko breadcrumbs.

    • Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

  • Serve over steamed rice or mashed potatoes.
