🎃🐶 Pumpkin Dog Treats
Ingredients:
-
1/2 cup pumpkin puree (plain canned pumpkin, NOT pumpkin pie filling)
-
2 large eggs
-
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for sensitive pups)
-
1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional, safe in small amounts)
-
2 tbsp peanut butter (make sure it doesn’t contain xylitol — toxic to dogs!)
Instructions:
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, combine pumpkin puree, eggs, and peanut butter.
-
Add dry ingredients: Gradually stir in flour and cinnamon until it forms a dough.
-
Roll out dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness.
-
Cut shapes: Use cookie cutters or cut into small squares.
-
Bake: Place treats on the baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes or until firm.
-
Cool completely before giving to your pup.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks or freeze for longer freshness.
