Use a rubbing alcohol spray.
How:
- Mix 2 parts isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol + 1 part water
- Add a drop of dish soap (optional)
- Spray directly on the icy windshield
Why it works:
Alcohol has a much lower freezing point than water, so it melts ice almost instantly.

- Don’t use hot water (can crack glass)
