Putting raw apple slices in a slow cooker can turn into something amazing — depending on what you add and how long you cook them! 🍎

🍏 1. Basic Stewed Apples

If you just want tender, sweet, cooked apples:

Ingredients:

  • 4–6 apples, peeled or unpeeled, sliced

  • 2–3 tbsp brown sugar or honey (optional)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

  • 1–2 tbsp water or lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Place all ingredients in the slow cooker.

If you let them cook longer, the apples will break down into a soft sauce.

Add to the slow cooker:

  • 6–8 apples, peeled, cored, sliced

  • ½ cup water or apple juice

  • 1–2 tbsp sugar (optional)

  • Cinnamon, nutmeg, or vanilla extract (optional)

Cook:

  • LOW for 6–8 hours, or until the apples completely soften.

  • Mash or blend for smooth applesauce.


🍯 3. Dessert-Style “Baked” Apples

If you want a cozy, pie-like flavor:

Ingredients:

  • 4–5 apples, sliced

  • 2 tbsp butter, cut into pieces

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • Optional: chopped nuts, oats, or raisins

Cook:

  • LOW for 3–4 hours, until tender and caramelized.

  • Serve warm with ice cream or yogurt!
