SLICED POTATOES IN THE AIR FRYER

Posted on October 22, 2025 by Admin
Yes! 🙌 Sliced potatoes in the air fryer are quick, crispy, and incredibly versatile. Whether you’re going for chips, home fries, or a simple side dish, the air fryer makes it fast and foolproof with way less oil than deep frying.

🥔 Crispy Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 2–3 medium potatoes (russet or Yukon gold work best)

  • 1–2 tablespoons olive oil

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)

  • Fresh black pepper, to taste

  • Optional: parmesan, rosemary, chili flakes, or your favorite seasoning blend

🔪 Instructions:

1. Prep the Potatoes:

  • Wash and scrub potatoes (you can peel them, but it’s not necessary).

  • Slice into ¼-inch thick rounds — use a knife or mandoline for even cooking.

2. Soak (optional, but worth it):

  • Soak slices in cold water for 15–30 minutes to remove excess starch — this helps them crisp up.

  • Drain and pat completely dry with a clean towel.

3. Season:

  • Toss sliced potatoes with olive oil, salt, and seasonings of choice.

4. Air Fry:

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

  • Spread slices in a single layer (cook in batches if needed).

  • Cook for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

5. Serve:

  • Sprinkle with extra salt or herbs while hot.

  • Serve with ketchup, ranch, aioli, or your favorite dipping sauce.

🔄 Variations:

  • Thin & crispy chips → Slice paper-thin and reduce time to 8–10 min.

  • Thicker, soft-inside rounds → Cut ⅓–½ inch thick and cook 15–18 min.

  • Use sweet potatoes for a sweeter twist.

Would you like a version that’s cheesy, spicy, or one turned into loaded air fryer potato nachos?
