Slow Cooker Pork Chops

Posted on January 30, 2026 by Admin

Slow cooker pork chops = set-it-and-forget-it comfort 😌🐖
Here’s a reliable, super tender classic that doesn’t dry out.

Slow Cooker Pork Chops

Ingredients (4 servings)

  • 4 bone-in pork chops (¾–1 inch thick is ideal)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for searing – optional but recommended)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • Optional: 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Season & sear (best flavor)
Season pork chops with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
Sear in a hot skillet with oil, 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
  2. Layer the slow cooker
Place sliced onions in the bottom.
    Add pork chops on top.
  3. Make the sauce
Whisk soup, broth, and Worcestershire (if using).
    Pour over pork chops.
  4. Cook low & slow
    • LOW: 6–7 hours
    • HIGH: 3–4 hours
      Chops should be fork-tender.
  5. Serve
Spoon gravy over pork chops and enjoy.

How to keep them juicy

  • Use bone-in chops if possible
  • Don’t overcook on HIGH unless they’re thick
  • Add 2–3 tbsp sour cream at the end for extra richness

Easy upgrades

  • Mushroom lover: add fresh sliced mushrooms
  • Creamy ranch: stir in 1 packet ranch seasoning
  • Herby: add thyme or rosemary
  • No soup version: I can share a from-scratch gravy

Great with

  • Mashed potatoes
  • Rice or egg noodles
  • Green beans or carrots

Want a smothered onion gravy version, BBQ pork chops, or boneless chop method next?
