Small No-Bake Vanilla Pudding

Posted on October 16, 2025 by Admin
Here’s a quick and creamy Small No-Bake Vanilla Pudding recipe — smooth, comforting, and perfect for a small batch treat. No oven needed, just a stovetop (or even microwave) and a handful of pantry staples!

🍮 Small No-Bake Vanilla Pudding

🍽 Servings: 2

⏱ Total Time: 10 minutes + chill

✅ Egg-free | No-bake | Stove or microwave friendly

🛒 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk (whole milk preferred for creaminess)

  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • Pinch of salt

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp butter (optional, for extra richness)

👨‍🍳 Instructions (Stovetop):

  1. Mix dry ingredients:
In a small saucepan (off heat), whisk together sugar, cornstarch, and salt.

  2. Add milk:
Slowly whisk in the milk until the mixture is smooth and no lumps remain.

  3. Heat:
Place the pan over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Cook for 5–7 minutes, or until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
(Don’t let it boil hard — low and slow is best.)

  4. Finish:
Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla extract and butter (if using).

  5. Chill:
Pour into 2 small ramekins or jars.
Press plastic wrap directly onto the surface to prevent skin.
Chill for at least 1 hour, or enjoy warm!

✅ Tips:

  • For thicker pudding, use 1¼ tbsp cornstarch.

  • For creamier texture, swap ¼ cup of milk for heavy cream.

  • Add-ins: top with whipped cream, berries, crushed cookies, or a drizzle of caramel.

🔄 Microwave Method (Optional):

  1. Mix all ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl.

  2. Microwave in 30-second intervals, whisking each time, until thickened (about 2–3 minutes total).

  3. Stir in vanilla and butter at the end.
