🍵 Soursop Turmeric & Hibiscus Tea

Ingredients (2–3 servings)

  • 1 cup fresh soursop pulp (or ½ cup concentrated unsweetened juice)

  • 1 tbsp dried hibiscus petals (also called sorrel or roselle)

  • ½ tsp turmeric powder (or 1 inch fresh turmeric root, sliced)

  • 3–4 cups water

  • Honey, agave, or sugar (optional, to taste)

  • A few slices of ginger (optional, pairs well with turmeric)

  • A squeeze of lime (optional)


Instructions

1. Brew the hibiscus & turmeric

  1. In a pot, bring the water to a gentle boil.

  2. Add:

    • Dried hibiscus petals

    • Turmeric (powder or fresh)

    • Optional ginger

  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 5–7 minutes until the water is deep red from the hibiscus.


2. Strain

  • Strain out the petals and roots/spices.

  • Let the tea cool slightly (warm, not boiling).


3. Add soursop

  • Stir in the fresh soursop pulp or juice.

  • Mix until smooth.

  • Add sweetener if desired.


4. Serve

  • Serve warm for a soothing tea
    or

  • Pour over ice for a refreshing chilled drink.

Optional: Add a splash of lime for brightness.

  • Hibiscus: tart, cranberry-like

  • Turmeric: earthy, warm

  • Soursop: sweet, creamy, lightly floral
