Prepare Pan:
Line an 8-inch square baking pan with foil. Lightly butter or spray the foil for easy removal later. -
Cook Sugar Mixture:
In a medium, heavy saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt.
Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Boil for 4–5 minutes, continuing to stir — this step is crucial for fudge texture! -
Add Chocolate & Marshmallow Crème:
Remove from heat.
Immediately stir in chocolate morsels, marshmallow crème, and vanilla extract.
Stir vigorously until everything is completely melted and smooth. -
Add Nuts (Optional):
Fold in nuts if using. -
Pour & Chill:
Pour mixture into the prepared pan. Spread evenly with a spatula.
Refrigerate until firm — about 2 hours. -
Cut & Serve:
Lift fudge from pan using the foil edges.
