Here’s a simple, refreshing, and immune-boosting Turmeric and Lemon Drink 🍋✨ — anti-inflammatory, cleansing, and energizing. You can enjoy it warm as a soothing tea or chilled as a detox tonic.


🍋 Turmeric and Lemon Drink

Serves: 1–2
Prep Time: 5 minutes


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 ml) warm water (not boiling) or cold water for a chilled version

  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric (or 1-inch piece fresh turmeric, grated)

  • Juice of ½–1 lemon (to taste)

  • Pinch of black pepper (helps your body absorb turmeric’s curcumin)

  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)

  • Optional extras:

    • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger or grated fresh ginger

    • A few mint leaves for garnish

    • A pinch of cayenne pepper for a metabolism kick


Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients:
    In a mug or glass, mix turmeric, lemon juice, black pepper, and honey.

  2. Add water:
    Pour in warm (not boiling) water and stir well until fully blended.

    • For a cold drink, use cold water and a few ice cubes, shaking or whisking well.

  3. Taste and adjust:
    Add more lemon for tartness or more honey for sweetness.

  4. Serve:
    Drink immediately while ingredients are well mixed. If using fresh turmeric or ginger, strain before drinking if desired.
