Here’s a creamy, hearty, and satisfying Ultimate Chicken Casserole recipe — the kind of comfort food that brings everyone back for seconds! It’s a classic combination of chicken, pasta, veggies, and a creamy, cheesy sauce, all baked into golden perfection.


🍗 Ultimate Chicken Casserole

🍽 Servings: 6–8

⏱ Total Time: 45–55 minutes (includes baking)


🛒 Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or chopped

  • 12 oz egg noodles (or any short pasta)

  • 1 cup frozen peas (or mixed vegetables)

  • 1 small onion, finely diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 cup crushed Ritz crackers (or breadcrumbs)

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted


👨‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Cook pasta:

Boil noodles just until al dente. Drain and set aside.

3. Make the sauce:

In a large bowl, mix together:

  • Cream of chicken soup

  • Sour cream

  • Milk

  • 1 cup of shredded cheese

  • Paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper

4. Assemble casserole:

Stir in cooked chicken, cooked noodles, peas, onion, and garlic. Mix until well coated.

Pour mixture into prepared baking dish. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup of cheese over the top.

5. Topping:

Mix crushed crackers with melted butter. Sprinkle over the casserole.

6. Bake:

Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.

  • Use rotisserie chicken for quick prep.

  • Swap peas for broccoli, spinach, or mushrooms.

  • Add a dash of hot sauce or mustard to the sauce for tang.

  • For a crunchier top, broil for 2 minutes at the end.
